Flight range is 100-150 feets, what is good, for this price range quadcopter aerodrone.  For some expensive models that flight will be low, but for drone which coat between 30 and 50$ that is enough.

From my opinion, this is a good investment for your child. Don’t buy an expensive drone in the start, let them this cheap quadcopter aerodrone to learn how to control, when they learn that and you see they love drones, then buy them some expensive drones.
